pause/still

today denise and noah and i went out to the coast for a little excursion. there was a bit of snow (or melting ice) along the way so we stopped at a viewpoint to drink hot cocoa from thermoses and play. we found a couple thrift stores to check out in tillamook then we went to the cheese factory. there was white licorice ice cream to be had. but not too much. and cheese to sample (i loathe the stuff) and workers to watch. i'm so over that place. we drove up the coast and settled on biffling about at rockaway. there was a huge heap of washed up seaweed that looked like giant spaghetti. climbing onto the rock jetty to be surrounded by waves while looking at clouds and a setting sun to rival beach boys cover art was relaxing.
